Croeso Cynnes i bawb – All Welcome

Y Sul hwn, mae pedwerydd Sul y Garawys yn draddodiadol Sul y Mamau, Yn bersonol, dwi wastad wedi ffeindio’r diwrnod yma braidd yn lletchwith – Tu hwnt ‘siawns y dylen ni ymddwyn, rhoi blodau, cynnig helpu ayyb fwy nag unwaith y flwyddyn’ … Ond yn bwysicach o lawer na hynny – gall Sul y Mamau fod diwrnod anodd.

Dduw cariadus, Dduw mamol cryf, yr wyt wedi addo na adawi lonydd i ni, na fyddwn yn amddifad ond yn cael ein hymgorffori mewn teulu mawr newydd.
Diolchwn am bawb sy’n famau a’u sylw cariadus.
Ond gweddïwn hefyd dros y rhai sy’n teimlo galar neu boen heddiw:
– Ar gyfer y rhai sydd wedi’u gwahanu gan eu mamau neu ffigurau mamau oherwydd marwolaeth, pellter neu dieithriad
– Ar gyfer plant amddifad oherwydd rhyfel a gwrthdaro
– I bawb sy’n cael y dathliadau a chanolbwynt y diwrnod hwn yn anodd
– I’r rhai na fyddant byth yn famau ond y byddent wedi hoffi bod.
– Ar gyfer oedolion sydd, hyd yn oed nawr, colli eu rhieni.
– I’r rhai a fagwyd heb wybod am gariad mam.
– I’r rhai sy’n cael eu gorfodi i ffoi o’u mamwlad a’u rhieni.
– I’r rhai sy’n teimlo’n ddwfn y gwahaniad oddi wrth rieni oherwydd pellter neu amgylchiad.
Bydded iddynt oll wybod trwy dy Ysbryd eu bod yn cael eu caru, eu bod wedi eu mabwysiadu i mewn i gariad Dduw, gyda brodyr a chwiorydd newydd.

Roedd Offrwm traddodiadol y Pasg ar gyfer Offeiriad y Plwyf. Fy mwriad erioed yw i hyn fynd at achos elusennol – Yn ystod y blynyddoedd diwethaf mae’r offrymau hyn wedi mynd i gynnal ein heglwysi. Fodd bynnag, eleni hoffwn awgrymu ein bod yn dychwelyd at yr arfer o roi hwn i ffwrdd – mae’r Pasg yn ydi amser mor briodol i’w roi. Bydd rhai ohonoch yn gwybod am waith Jeremy McWilliam a’r ‘Island Reach’ angori yng Nghonwy. Bydd y cwch hwn yn gadael yn fuan ar gyfer ei waith yn cynnig cymorth meddygol ym Madagascar. Mae angen ychydig o bethau ar y llong cyn iddi hwylio – Byddai’n wych pe bai Bro Gwydyr yn gallu codi £1,500 ar gyfer bwrdd llawdriniaeth.

Gallwch wneud eich Offrwm Pasg yn y ffordd arferol ar Sul y Pasg yn yr Eglwys gydag arian parod neu drwy ddefnyddio ein  peiriannau rhoi Electronig. Gallwch hefyd wneud hyn yn ddiogel trwy ‘Give a Little’ ar lein.

Diolch yn fawr am eich help!

This Sunday, the fourth Sunday in Lent is traditionally Mothering Sunday, known these days as Mother’s Day for most people. Personally, I’ve always found this day a little awkward – beyond the ‘we ought to behave, give flowers, offer to help out etc.’ More importantly than that – Mother’s Day, Mothering Sunday can be a hard day.

Loving God, strong mothering God, you have promised that you will not leave us alone, that we shall not be orphans but are incorporated into a big new family.

We give thanks for all those who are mothers and their loving attention.
But we pray too for those who feel grief or pain this day:
– For those separated by their mothers or mother figures due to death, distance or estrangement,
– For children orphaned by war and conflict
– For all who find the celebrations and the focus of this day difficult
– For those who will never be mothers but would have liked to have been.
– For adults who, even now, miss their parents.
– For those who grew up unaware of a mother’s love.
– For those forced to flee their homeland and parents.
– For those who feel deeply the separation from parents by distance or circumstance.
May they all know by your Spirit that they are loved, they are adopted into the love of God, with new brothers and sisters.

The traditional Easter Offering was for the Priest of the Parish. It has always been my intention that this should go to a charitable cause – During the past few years these offerings have gone to support our churches. However, this year I would like to suggest we return to the practice of giving this away – Easter seems such an appropriate time to be giving.

Some of you will know of the work of Jeremy McWilliam on the Ship ‘Island Reach’ moored at Conwy.  This boat is soon to depart for its work offering medical aid in Madagascar.  The ship is in need of a few things before it sails – It would be wonderful if Bro Gwydyr would be able to raise £1,500 for an operating table.

You can make your Easter Offering in the usual way on Easter Sunday in Church in cash or using our Electronic giving  machines.  You can also do this securely through ‘Give a little’ online.

Thanks so much for your help!

We believe in inclusive Church – a church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate. We will continue to challenge the church where it continues to discriminate against people on grounds of disability, economic power, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, learning disability, mental health, neurodiversity, or sexuality. We believe in a Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.”
