Yr Ystwyth – Epiphany

Dydd Sul 7fed Mis Ionawr
Sunday 7th January

Blwyddyn Newydd Dda i chi i gyd

O Galendr ‘Eco Tips’ A Rocha 2024
Gwnewch ‘mwynhau natur’ yn flaenoriaeth i chi.
O wylio adar i ysgrifennu am
neu dynnu llun rhywbeth sy’n ysbrydoli
ti o ran natur, yn tyfu dy ffrwyth dy hun
neu lysiau, neu archwilio ardal o harddwch naturiol eithriadol yn y DU, gwnewch yn siŵr eich bod yn syrthio mewn cariad â natur mewn ffordd newydd y flwyddyn i ddod a chaniatáu iddo arwain eich meddyliau tuag at Dduw ein Creawdwr. Gellir dod o hyd i syniadau pellach yn arocha.org.uk/ideas-to-enjoy-nature/

Bydd Eryl i ffordd o 26fed Mis Rhagfyr nes tan 2ail Mis Ionawr a bydd Stuart i ffwrdd yr wythnos dechrau 14fed Mis Ionawr.

Bendithio’r Sialc yn Nhymor yr Ystwyll
Arfer traddodiadol yw Bendithio’r Sialc, sy’n ein hatgoffa fod Crist yn bresennol yn y cariad a ddangoswn i’n gilydd yn ein bywydau beunyddiol. Fel y daeth y Doethion i chwilio am oleuni Crist a chael eu croesawu i’r tŷ gan y Teulu Sanctaidd, felly croesawn ni bawb sy’n dod yn enw’r Arglwydd, gan weddïo y bydd ein cartrefi’n cael eu hamddiffyn rhag tywyllwch a’u llenwi â goleuni Crist a chynhesrwydd ei Ysbryd. Mae’r ddefod hon yn defnyddio’r enwau traddodiadol a roddir i’r Doethion: Caspar, Melchior a Balthasar. 20 + C . M . B + 24

The Epiphany Blessing of Chalk
The Blessing of Chalk is a traditional custom, reminding us that Christ is incarnate in the love we offer to one another in our daily lives.  As the Magi came in search of the light of Christ and were welcomed by the Holy Family into the house, we welcome all who come in the Lord’s name, praying that our homes may be protected from darkness and be filled with the light of Christ and the warmth of his Spirit. 20 + C . M . B + 24 = Century + Caspar / Cristus . Melchior / Mansionem . Balthazar / Benedicat + Year. The Latin phrase means ‘Christ Bless this house’.

We believe in inclusive Church – a church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate. We will continue to challenge the church where it continues to discriminate against people on grounds of disability, economic power, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, learning disability, mental health, neurodiversity, or sexuality. We believe in a Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.”
